We Will Rise Together
“What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” -T.S. Eliot
On this Easter Sunday, in the midst of a global pandemic due to COVID 19, I can not help but reflect this is the end of an era but contrary to popular belief, the beginning of a new one for humanity. The virus has spread globally and devastated many in our world; but in the midst of the pain, something beautiful has also happened. Global compassion has emerged and spread just as fast if not quicker. It is a new beginning where we care about people we don’t even know, people we have never even met – and people we will probably never meet.
The caring, kindness, devotion and dedication that the nurses, doctors and emergency responders have shown the world is living proof that the human spirit will not be destroyed – nor will we destroy each other. Forget the apocalyptic theories. We create our own reality and we have the power of love on our side – all we need to change the world.
We will rise and write a better script for humanity this time.
Let us pray for all the souls that have passed and let us honor them by being all that we can be during this time. These souls, now angels, have forged a new path forward for us. Let us honor them by taking care of each other and our planet.
Let us learn to live in peace.
It is a time of rebirth, renewal, and regeneration.
“And the end of all our exploring/ Will be to arrive where we started/ And know the place for the first time.” – T.S. Eliot “Four Quartets”
Let us rediscover Planet Earth and write a better script for Humanity.
